Masthead Ideas

I choose to say with my color scheme for my magazine. I am decided whether my masthead should be Bold and Big as an impact or should have a smeared to reflect on the impact.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. - Inspiration

American Baptist minister and  civil rights activist known as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. , became known as one of the  most African American  influential individuals in history. King was born January 15, 1929 and assassinated April 4, 1968.  King's main target was equality and human rights for African Americans. King’s non-violent boycotts, protests, and marches  were all successful for racial discrimation in America. King was known for his beneficial speeches. One of King's most famous speeches is “I Have A Dream '' speech. This speech focused on the end of racial inequality in America. Although King was arrested plenty of times for the changes he wanted to make, this did not stop him. King was encouraged to his legacy. King knew he may not be here when changes happened but he knew it would happen eventually.  https://biography.yourdictionary.com/articles/martin-luther-king-progress-civil-rights-movement.html#:~:text=was%20a%20well%2Dknown%20civil,was%20passed%20agai

Portrait Photographer - Annie Leibovitz

For my magazine, I decided to research different photographers  that may inspire me for my magazine cover by their methods and focuses.   Annie Leiboviz is a American photographer. She was born October 2, 1949 in Waterbury, Connecticut.  Leibovitz is a portrait photographer who mainly focuses on celebrity portraits. Her photos can be found in many magazines such as Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair. In all of her work, Leibovitz's work is different from any other photographer. Leibovitz photos are different because of the methods she uses. For instance, Annie attempts to "match" natural light and begin to work in the morning.  Magazine photos:  https://unitednationsofphotography.com/ https://www.masterclass.com/ https://www.britannica.com/ https://www.biography.com https://www.rollingstone.com/ https://www.phaidon.com/

Photography for my magazine

What is Photography?  Photography is the art, application, and practice of creating everlasting images by recording light. There are several types of photography such as fashion, street, still, and more. Photographers all have their focus and interest. For example, some photographers such as Andrew D. Bernstein is a sports photographer. He captures players through their action on the field or court.      For my magazine, there are not specific photographers who focus on influential people. Therefore, I decided to study photography that is similar and capture people in their act of helping. The following are the kinds of photography that can be used for my magazine.  Portrait: captures personality of an individual or group by presentation.  It gives the audience a meaning through the model face, costumes, make-up, and background.  Still Life: arrangements are made such as lightning to give a message.
