Evaluation of Preminlary Task

The preliminary task allowed me to practice and gain skills such as editing and planning. This task has allowed me to be familiar with the tools in Canva which will help with my cover page, contents page, double page spread. This has allowed me to pay attention to the font, color scheme, and more.  The masthead "NEXT BEAT" attracts the audience by  explaining what the magazine is about. (Music) This has allowed me to focus on what font  will attract the audience such as bold letters.   The color scheme is used to attract the audience by the color meaning. Red gives a strength, love, desire, mood. In my preliminary task, it presents the artist who loves his music.  The model of the cover page also reveals what the magazine may be about. In my preliminary, I did make the name up of the model (Trapp$). I used that name to attract the audience by presenting someone they may be familiar with or name may be attractive . This will cause my audience to continue to increase as well. M

Color Scheme of Magazine

From my survey results, my magazine will have different shades of brown for its color scheme. As I began to a deeper reasearch of brown, I agreed with my audience. Brown brings a audience comfort and protection. It gives the audience a feeling of support and honesty. It also gives an honest mood.     What the color brown portrays goes perfect with my magazine topic because it will not only allow the black community to be the highlight but also my content. It will give a comfort and dependable mood on the influential people and their impacts. For example, Michelle Obama has influenced many women from her honesty, reliability, comforting tone, and more.  Graphic from Canva.com  Resources:  https://www.verywellmind.com/ https://colorpsychologymeaning.com/
